Thousands of Palestinians Mourn Martyr Diaa Sabarini
Palestinians mourn Martyr Diaa Sabarini, who was shot by the occupation forces during confrontations a few days ago in Jenin.
The Palestinians attended the funeral of Martyr Diaa Sabarini, the 25-year-old Palestinian, who died of his wounds a week after being shot by Israeli soldiers in the northern West Bank city of Jenin. At the same time, activists called for a general strike today in the city.
Thousands of Palestinians from Jenin participated in a massive demonstration that started from the southern entrance of the city, calling for national unity and unified ranks in the face of the ongoing Israeli challenges and crimes.
The participants condemned the absence of international support for Palestinians against the occupation's crimes, demanding protection for the people who face the brutality of the occupation forces on a daily basis.
Sabarini was seriously injured in the abdomen more than a week ago after the occupation forces shot him, and he succumbed to his wounds on Wednesday. Local sources explained that he had been wounded by an explosive bullet that had caused severe damage to his internal organs, and his arm had also been amputated.
In a related context, the Israeli occupation forces arrested the freed prisoner Salloum Judeh from the new Askar refugee camp, east of Nablus, and three brothers from the village of Umm al-Rihan, southwest of Jenin.
