Al Mayadeen Sources: UAE-Backed Forces' Retreat from Al-Hudaydah Was Sudden
Al Mayadeen sources have reported that Tareq Saleh's UAE-backed forces are in a state of shock and confusion as a result of the sudden withdrawal of other UAE-backed forces from the region.
Al Mayadeen correspondent in Yemen reported that the withdrawal of UAE-backed forced from the southern regions of al-Hudaydah, led by Haitham Tahir, was sudden and without any justification given to Tarek Saleh's forces stationed in al-Mocha, which are also backed by the UAE.
Al Mayadeen sources also said that severe, unannounced disputes have erupted among the UAE-backed forces in Yemen's western coast, following the sudden withdrawals from Al-Hudaydah.
The sources revealed that the large withdrawals were seen as a stab in the back to Saleh's forces, causing a state of shock and confusion among Southern Transitional Council armed forces.
In a related context, Yemeni sources told Al Mayadeen that a governmental delegation led by Sanaa's Deputy PM, Hussein Maqbouli, is visiting al-Hudaydah Governorate southern areas.
Al-Hanash: The Marib front rocked all other fronts
The Spokesperson for the parties of the National Democratic Coalition in Yemen, Abdul Majid Hanash, told Al Mayadeen that the Marib front rocked all other fronts, noting that the "so-called Hadi legitimacy is nearing its end."
Al-Hanash added that the Hadi "legitimacy" brings together groups that are "out of sync," like the transitional council, ISIS, and al-Islah, stressing that Sanaa's hand at the negotiating table is stronger, because of its popular support and actual fighting power.
Al Mayadeen security and military affairs analyst, Charles Abi Nader, said that al-Mocha's liberation will be as important as the liberation of Marib.
On his part, the Marib Governorate Undersecretary told Al Mayadeen that Marib is close to being liberated.
