Blinken Renews Commitment to Help Protect Saudi Arabia's Territory
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed human rights with his Saudi counterpart.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Minister Faisal bin Farhan exchanged views with Antony Blinken on the Iranian nuclear program.
The US State Department pointed out that the Secretary and the Foreign Minister "discussed US-Saudi strategic cooperation on regional issues, including the common goal of reaching a durable solution to end the conflict in Yemen. "
According to Ned Price, the spokesman for the State Department, "The Secretary reiterated the US government’s commitment to help Saudi Arabia defend its territory and people. They also discussed other regional and broader issues, including human rights."
On his account, the Saudi Foreign Minister affirmed that US-Saudi relations hold great value for the two nations, the region, and the world.
He tweeted about fruitful discussions with the US Secretary of State, including aspects of strategic cooperation in all fields and intensifying joint coordination on many regional and international issues of concern.

This comes after high-profile Saudi-US talks took place in the city of Neom in September.
US National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, held high-level talks with Saudi officials regarding the "Iranian nuclear file" and efforts to force peace initiatives to end the war in Yemen.
