Hospitals received the bodies of 83 martyrs and 233 injuries in 24 hours, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced in its daily report on Tuesday. Many victims remain trapped beneath debris and along roads, unreachable due to continued bombardment.

Since October 7, 2023, as of September 9, 2025, the death toll of the Israeli genocide in Gaza has surged to 64,605 Palestinians, in addition to 163,319 injured.

Since March 18, 2025, the total toll has risen to 12,059 killed and 51,278 wounded.

Moreover, as the Israeli-made famine ravages Gaza, 14 starved Palestinians were killed and over 37 were injured since early morning while trying to receive aid at designated "aid distribution sites" and were later transported to hospitals, as per the Ministry's report.

The death toll among Palestinians killed while seeking food aid in designated distribution zones has now climbed to 2,444, with more than 17,831 others wounded, according to the report.

Gaza hospitals also recorded new famine-related deaths, mainly children, due to the famine and malnutrition amid the severe shortages in food and medicine.

Six new deaths due to famine and malnutrition were recorded in 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths due to malnutrition to 399, including 140 children.

Since the IPC declared famine in Gaza, 121 deaths have been recorded, including 25 children.

Israeli genocide ongoing

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza intensified on Tuesday as Israeli airstrikes killed Palestinians and flattened residential towers, with rescue teams reporting more than 25 people missing beneath the rubble of a family home in the al-Shati refugee camp.

Gaza’s Health Ministry issued an urgent call for international protection of hospitals and medical staff, warning of a looming catastrophe for thousands of patients and wounded.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes struck the al-Shati camp at dawn, targeting homes and children, while artillery pounded central Khan Younis and a drone hit the Rafah area. Five Palestinians seeking aid were killed by Israeli fire southwest of Khan Younis, according to local medics.

Al-Awda Hospital in al-Nuseirat said it treated a young girl injured after Israeli shells hit the al-Bureij camp.

Concurrently, Civil Defense officials reported that the strike on the al-Hosari family home in northern Gaza left at least 25 people missing under the rubble, as rescuers struggled with limited equipment amid extensive destruction.

Over the past 72 hours, invading Israeli units reportedly bombed five high-rise buildings containing about 209 apartments, forcibly displacing more than 4,100 Palestinians. Civil Defense warned that the strikes are part of a broader strategy to forcibly displace Palestinians southward.
