Iranian FM Amir-Abdollahian invited to China
The External Security Commissioner of the Chinese FM and the Iranian FM exchange views on the strategic partnership treaty between Tehran and Beijing.
Cheng Guoping, the external security commissioner of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, invited Tuesday in a meeting in Tehran, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, to visit China.
During the meeting, Cheng and Amir-Abdollahian exchanged views on the strategic partnership treaty between Tehran and Beijing.
The two diplomats also discussed regional and international cooperation, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
The Chinese diplomat extended the greetings of China's Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, to Amir-Abdollahian. Cheng also expressed his satisfaction with the expansion of the strategic ties between the two countries.
On his part, Amir-Abdollahian stressed the importance of strengthening Iran's relations with China, adding that the cooperation between the two countries at international organizations is a key aspect of the joint ties.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also mentioned that the Tehran-Beijing close consultations are "important".
