Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army Herzi Halevi and Security Minister Yoav Gallant are intensifying pressure on Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to secure a ceasefire agreement, Israeli media reported.

According to The Jerusalem Post, the Israeli occupation military is seeking to move closer to a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, as it believes that only limited military gains can be achieved amid increasing frustration from the number of casualties recorded as the IOF face strong resistance across all fronts.

The report further stated that Halevi and Gallant have urged Netanyahu to pursue a ceasefire that would facilitate the return of the 101 Israeli captives, both living and dead, held by Palestinian Resistance factions in Gaza.

During speeches at an officer graduation ceremony on Thursday, the two senior military officials emphasized, “Time is of the essence to return the hostages, which most officials now agree will only happen, if at all, through a deal of some kind with Hamas.”

'Israel' fighting without strategy against Hezbollah: Israeli colonel

"Israel" is currently engaged in combat on seven fronts without a cohesive strategy or clear mechanisms for resolution, security expert and reserve colonel in the Israeli occupation army, Kobi Marom, has acknowledged.

In remarks reported by Israeli Channel 12, he emphasized that "Israel is facing a challenging battle in Lebanon, characterized by drone activity and missile barrages." Marom recognized the capabilities of the Resistance on this front, stating, "There is no doubt that there is a well-coordinated and sophisticated operation in place to challenge our systems."

He added that "Hezbollah's command and control system is being enhanced, along with its fire formation," noting that this is the case "amid the evacuation of settlement units and the disruption of commercial activities."

Marom explained that "Israel" has repeatedly made mistakes, particularly over the past year, in assessing the intentions of various fronts. He specifically addressed the confrontation with Iran, emphasizing that it is "a superpower in the realm of missiles and drones and is capable of surprising us even now."
