Israeli Media: Dramatic Blow Hits the Mossad
Israeli media reports on the resignation of three Mossad heads of divisions, amid changes led by the organization's chief David Barnea.
Israeli Channel 13 reported that three division chiefs, with a major general rank in the Israeli occupation forces, resigned in the wake of changes led by the new Mossad chief David Barnea.
Alon Ben-David, a military analyst in the channel, described the latest resignations as resounding.
The resigned officials are the head of the Technology Division, the head of the "Counter-Terrorism" Division, and the head of the Executive Division, Ben David revealed.
He also pointed out that a fourth Mossad senior official, a leader in a strategic battle in charge of a highly sensitive strategic operation, is expected to resign.
The channel's broadcaster said the news is a serious blow to the Mossad, but Ben-David explained that Barnea is partitioning the traditional divisions into secondary divisions, which caused a wave of dispute.
Ben-David added that Barnea, less than half a year after assuming his position, has lost 4 senior officials, and said this deficiency will be effectively felt in the organization.
