Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announced on Thursday that discussions with mediators are ongoing to halt the Israeli aggression, and that efforts are being made to pressure the occupation to adhere to the agreement and withdraw from its plans.

In a statement from spokesperson Abdul Latif al-Qanou, the movement emphasized its commitment to the ceasefire agreement reached between Gaza and Israel on January 19, 2025.

Hamas reiterated its dedication to working with mediators to protect the Palestinian people from war and ensure the Israeli occupation's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

The movement said in the statement, "The siege, starvation, and war of extermination in Gaza require urgent action from the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to save our people from genocide, prevent starvation, and lift the siege."

The Israeli occupation forces have failed to adhere to the ceasefire agreement and have not completed its second phase, intentionally imposing additional conditions and exerting pressure on the Resistance.

The occupation forces have now renewed their aggression against the Gaza Strip, launching airstrikes on various areas.

Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of approximately 460 people, including women and children, with hundreds more injured, according to the latest reports from Gaza's Civil Defense.

The death toll continues to rise as bombardment persists, with 70 people killed in today's airstrikes.

Al Mayadeen’s correspondent confirmed that the Israeli occupation retook control of the Netzarim Axis, separating northern Gaza from central and southern areas.

On Wednesday, Hamas held the Israeli occupation and its leadership fully responsible for the consequences of the ongoing ground invasion of central Gaza.

In a statement, the movement said that the Israeli regime's repeated threats to forcibly displace Palestinians reflect the deep crisis facing the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"The Palestinian people will thwart all attempts at forced or voluntary displacement," Hamas asserted, adding, "There is no migration except to al-Quds."

The statement also reaffirmed Hamas' commitment to the ceasefire agreement, calling on mediators to hold "Israel" accountable for its violations and pressure Netanyahu to halt his actions.
