Tunisia's Workers' Party: July 25 "coup" saved the system from collapse
In a statement, the National Council of the Workers' Party in Tunisia called on the democratic and progressive forces to review their positions regarding President Kais Saied's "coup", which aims to preserve the interests of the reactionary alliance.
The National Council of the Workers' Party in Tunisia called on Tunisians to unite and prepare to overthrow the ruling regime by overthrowing President Kais Saied.
In a statement following the party's fourth regular session, the council considered that the July 25 "coup" is but a decisive step to save the system from collapse.
The council also confirmed that Saied took advantage of the resentment among Tunisians and ensured that most governing institutions are on his side before carrying out the "coup".

A few days ago, activists within the Citizens Against the Coup Initiative announced a hunger strike to protest "the path of President Kais Saied's coup."
In a video clip that the Initiative published on its official Facebook page, the activists had several demands, including in particular the release of imprisoned parliamentarians, the suspension of military trials, and the release of those arrested on December 18 during the sit-in that the activists carried out on Habib Bourguiba Street.
