The White House announced on Wednesday that US President Joe Biden will receive Israeli occupation PM Naftali Bennett in Washington on August 26.
The White House said that this visit "will strengthen the enduring partnership between the United States and Israel, reflect the deep ties between our governments and our people, and underscore the United States’ unwavering commitment to Israel’s security."
The statement also said, "The President and PM Bennett will discuss critical issues related to regional and global security, including Iran," stressing that the visit constitutes an opportunity for "the two to discuss efforts to advance peace, security, and prosperity for the Israelis and Palestinians and the importance of working toward a more peaceful and secure future for the region."
Biden had congratulated Bennett's government after it received the Knesset's confidence vote in mid-June. Biden had said at the time, "I look forward to working with Prime Minister Bennett to strengthen all aspects of the close and enduring relationship between our two nations."
