Figures in History; Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
Remembering Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah: The voice that refused to bow to tyranny. With forty days have gone by since his martyrdom, Lebanon and the region remember a leader whose stance against occupation, oppression, injustice, and the Palestinian cause redefined both the nation and the region's paths. Under Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's leadership, Hezbollah not only drove Israeli occupation forces out of southern Lebanon in 2000 but also confronted one of the world's so-called most powerful militaries during the 2006 war, shattering "Israel’s" image of invincibility. Then in 2012, Hezbollah fought the takfiri terrorist threat that aimed at taking over Syria and was advancing to Lebanon, and it liberated the border area in 2017, leading to what came to be known as the Second Liberation. His final act, the ultimate sacrifice, came as he defended Lebanon, Gaza, and all oppressed people from “Israel’s” barbaric aggression, ascending to martyrdom on the path to al-Quds.
