As part of its digital exhibitions, the Palestinian Museum will present an audio blog next Sunday evening, August 8, discussing the worlds of the late poet Rashid Hussein (1936-1977).
The Arabic podcast will be published on the museum's social media platforms, with speakers Marah Khalifa and Haneen Saleh.
The blog seeks to shed light on the "exploration of the poet's journey, how the Nakba affected his life and political career through his struggles."
Hussein left the United States after his apartment mysteriously and suspiciously burnt down one month in 1976.
The late poet was known as the founder of the Palestinian resistance poetry with many Palestinians memorizing his poems and taking pride in his works.
His works include: At Dawn(1957), Missiles(1958), The Earth Does Not Deprive me of Rain (1976), Palestinian Poems - Beirut (1982).
It is noteworthy that this exhibition is carried out in partnership with "Sawt", a podcast platform launched in 2016 that produces and distributes audio content in Arabic "in an effort to create an environment for dialogue that discusses topics of interest to Arab viewers around the world."
