The ongoing genocide in Gaza and the wider record of war crimes and abuses committed by the Zionist entity has been carried out by the so-called IOF (Israeli Occupation Forces). The whole world is appalled. Yet there are, in the UK (and elsewhere), people willing to raise funds for the occupation forces and indeed to help them commit genocide. These people undertake their appalling activities using the vehicle of a number of charities registered in the UK.  

Research for Palestine Declassified, where I am the producer and expert commentator, has revealed that there are more than twenty British charities funneling resources to two IOF-supporting charities (The UK Friends of the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers and Beit Halochem). Each of these has to show that its charitable activities provide what is called a "public benefit". They must show how their stated charitable objectives are fulfilled by such donations, and also that any harm resulting from the activities does not outweigh the benefit. What are the benefits?  

Well, while the people of Gaza are both selectively and indiscriminately killed, denied water, starved, and are forced to endure amputations and other operations with no anaesthetic, soldiers in the IOF are able to enjoy a brand-new swimming pool provided by AWIS. AWIS described the purpose of the pool as follows, "The combat soldiers who serve at this base work exceptionally hard in very difficult circumstances, and so the swimming pool is a perfect place for them to unwind, and it also upgrades the base to a new level. We are very proud of this." 

The pool was opened in August 2021 with "a performance at the start of the ceremony from the "Israel" National Artistic Swimming Team. These talented women took their place on the podium in Budapest, winning an historical medal at the 2021 European Aquatics Championships."

IOF recruits also have access to gym facilities and living spaces like the one below donated via AWIS. In this particular case, the living facility is donated in the names of two children - Rachel and Daniel Levy on the occasion of their Bat and Bar Mitzvah, usually taken at the age of 13 for Jewish boys and 12/13 for girls. The indoctrination and radicalisation of young Jewish children by the Zionist movement is a notable feature of the culture of Zionism. In this particular example, the parents of the two children (seen in the foreground in the picture above) can be seen smiling happily in the background. These are Julian and Sian Levy of St John’s Wood in North London. The Levy’s are fanatical radicalisers who it appears are major donors to UK AWIS.

They are so keen on radicalising their children that they have appeared on Israeli television smiling as one of their other sons, Avi, is introduced as a British recruit to the genocidal occupation forces. Avi is interviewed on the show and says: "It wasn’t like when I was 18 I decided I wanted to go to the army. From when I was very little - six years old - I said I want to go to the army, I want to go to the army It was like fulfilling a dream of mine to come to Israel." Note that when this British citizen says "the army", he is referring not to the British Army, but to the genocidal forces of the Zionist entity. What processes of radicalisation and indoctrination must have taken place for this British young man to entertain such genocidal fantasies, and to have them established at the age of six?

Julian and Sian Levy are introduced on the show as "board members" of the UK Friends of AWIS, yet no such position is advertised on the AWIS website or in any of their annual reports lodged with the Charity Commission or Companies House in the UK.  Is this a secret board? It is said that they are among the "most important supporters" of UK AWIS. We have seen evidence above of their support in the bloodstained donations in the name of two of their other children.

There’s more.  Here is a plaque commemorating the donation by the Levy’s of a mobile Synagogue for Zionist troops. The dedication, this time, is to all of their four children including Avi, the occupation forces recruit.

Synagogues for genocide

The Levy’s are not alone in the British Jewish community in involving children in the promotion of genocide. Another sign of the indoctrination and radicalisation for genocide at the heart of the organised British Jewish community is the appeal published by Magen Avot - a Shul or Synagogue in North West London. The appeal was to raise funds for UK AWIS in honour of the Rabinnical couple at the Shul, Rabbi Joel and Sarah Kenigsberg, who "returned to Israel in the summer of 2022". 

Shockingly, the Shul is based in a primary school - the Nancy Reuben Primary School Hall (48 Finchley Lane, London NW4 1DJ). The school itself appears to be a Zionist indoctrination centre. Let’s remind ourselves that this is a school for Jewish children aged 5-11, and the school appears to directly foster indoctrination and radicalisation of the young children who attend. For example, a Times of Israel report notes its participation in "the JNF UK Israel program", The JNF is of course a core element of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine as the agency in charge of land theft and expropriation. Here is how the programme is described:

One antidote to a possible weakening of Jewish identity in the face of anti-Semitism is the JNF UK program, noted Antony Wolfson, the head teacher at Nancy Reuben, who feels that his students have learned much more about "Israel" since participating in the activities and lessons created by their JNF UK representative, Sari Rubin… The aim, said Rubin, is to educate Jewish children for when they are older, teaching them what Israel has to offer and making sure they are grounded in facts and history.

The Jewish National Fund itself admits that it has been involved in twinning the primary school with a settler school in the Naqab desert (termed the Negev by the Zionists).

According to the Times of Israel: "A good number of the school’s students have visited Israel." In its 2020 report and accounts the school also discloses that "our school is now a JNF Partner School.  JNF fund a teachers two days a week to promote Israel Education and Ivrit." In other words it is admitted that an agency of ethnic cleansing is funding a Jewish primary school

The Magen Avot Shul was "initially set up and supported by Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis and the United Synagogue (US)." United Synagogue is the largest synagogue body in the UK which has some 73 members and affiliates, covering roughly 40% of UK Synagogue attendance. Until late 2023, the United Synagogue was proud to state that it was a "Zionist" organisation, but the webpage declaring this was subsequently removed at some point after November 1 of that year. Given its openly Zionist orientation, it is not surprising that Magen Avot is not the only United Synagogue member to support UK AWIS.

The South Hampstead Shul is another. Several families there came together to donate to a Synagogue for the occupation forces. They include a number of well-known Jewish families, including Bard, Benjamin, Bray, Cohen, Gordon, Jacobson, Kay, Taub and Traub. The plaque is in commemoration of Eli Kay, a South African settler who was recruited to the occupation forces and later eliminated by the Palestinian Resistance in November 2021.

Naturally, the genocidal regime sent 150 members of its paramilitary forces to demolish the family home of the fighter who executed the South African genocidaire, an act of collective punishment which is in itself a war crime.

The Jewish business class and support for genocide

Amongst the largest donors to UK AWIS, as with almost all Zionist groups, is the business class. One example is a clubhouse donated by the Musry family in memory of Nissim Musry. The memorial plaque states that the "soldiers of the IDF were always in his thoughts and prayers."  Musry family interests were reported by the Times in 2008 to "own about half of Wrengate, a Manchester-based textile importer and processor founded in 1974." In total, the family, led by Nissim Musry, was valued by the Times in 2008 at £45m. Unsurprisingly, the Musry family also donate to other Zionist causes such as the United Jewish Israel Appeal.

Fundraising dinner flushes out genocide supporters

In 2020 UK AWIS hosted a fundraising dinner, which was sponsored by the Musry family through their firm Oakbridge Financial Services Ltd. The brochure contains a long list of other firms supporting the genocidal occupation forces, which we reproduce here so readers can make appropriate decisions about using their services:

No doubt, there are many other British firms joining these firms and the almost thirty charities we have revealed as funding genocide in Gaza. There is something rotten at the heart of the Zionist movement. The genocide in Gaza makes it clear that it must be dismantled root and branch. Zionist groups and organisations need to either disband, or immediately disaffiliate from the Zionist movement, and ordinary decent British citizens can help that process by having nothing to do with Zionist firms and groups until they do the decent thing.
