A tale of a failed humanity and the necessity of a reshuffle?
It is high time for international organizations to rewrite their mission statement and modify their objective in a way that they will be able to ensure accountability against criminals, as an obligatory moral duty.
If global political organizations do not assess themselves, re-strategize, and revisit their original charters and fundamental concepts, then they are at risk of facing decline. Since we are interested in the implementation of the charters of these organizations, we are addressing this issue regardless of the respectability of the persons at the head of these organizations.
We do not argue that these international organizations are unaware of what has been taking place in Palestine. We have all noted that this is the first time in human history that the cost of “War” (it is clear to all that what has been perpetrated in the Gaza Strip hasn’t been a war, but rather an ethnic cleansing, genocide, or, as a Palestinian scholar coined it, a “CleansOcide”) is measured in the number of children killed. Crimes, mass massacres, and atrocities of various scales persist unabated, often unfolding in the very presence of these international organizations. Despite their presence and purported mission, they frequently fail to effect meaningful change.
International organizations, including the UN and various NGOs, undoubtedly bear witness to indiscriminate violence and atrocities committed against people of all backgrounds and affiliations. They have been present during the indiscriminate bombing of hospitals, schools and universities, churches, mosques, and other public buildings. Their presence during such egregious acts prompts reflection on the acceptability of violence, regardless of whether it's labeled as "discriminate" or "indiscriminate". Would it be "acceptable" or legal to witness silently violence, or cold-blooded genocides? This situation underscores the urgency of rejecting all forms of atrocities and human rights abuses with unwavering condemnation and action.
One cannot but remain under the impression that a new narrative is being weaved, about a pledge of misrepresentation of reality, AKA “deep fake” propaganda.
The way international organizations are operating portrays the impression that they are debilitated either because they are not allowed or unable to fulfill their mission. Whichever is the case, this is a huge failure that we should not be condoning.
Insights from organizational psychology and sociology could undoubtedly inform efforts to revitalize and restructure these faltering organizations. Leaders, agencies, functions, slogans, and vested interests within these entities could benefit from a process of introspection and reinvention. By examining underlying dynamics, identifying shortcomings, and embracing innovation, these organizations can better align with their missions and respond effectively to evolving challenges.
It is high time for them to rewrite their mission statement and modify their objective in a way that they will be able to ensure accountability against criminals, as an obligatory moral duty. Most of these international organizations are at a crossroads where they have a message to generate, believe in, achieve, deliver, and accomplish. In times of catastrophic crisis, it’s crucial not to be entangled by despair. Instead, take on the role of a proactive policymaker and bring the change needed.
Spending lifetimes of venues and countless airtime hours to staged, managed events and information often leads to nowhere.
Clearly, in every such organization, there are leaders and employees who are doing their best to meet the main mission. However - and the problem has eternally resided in the devilish details - since the message is not delivered properly, something has to change. This challenge necessitates a comprehensive reevaluation of these organizations: their mission, messaging, accountability structures, doctrines, delivery methods, target audience, and intended impact. By refining these aspects, the message can reach its intended recipients, catalyzing the necessary changes and healing where it's needed most.
In times of war crime, these organizations cannot and should not give the criminal any space to justify its crimes. There shouldn’t be a possibility of comparing the killer with the victim. Our universal moral duty should force us to say “enough” to those evil “unaccountable”. Don’t they all need to comprehend that there should be some consequences… for all of the wrongdoings on all of the involved? They should be told therefore (and if change isn’t taking place) not to act in your name [the Organization’s name], not in our name. Refuse to surrender to emotional blackmail used to shut down those speaking out. Reject clientelism and business allegiances.
[We] need a conceptual and operational “revolution”, for the solution cannot selectively be “a Criminal Fait Accompli," as what happened during the 1948 Nakba, the 1967 Naksa, or the after-Oslo colonial illegal “arrangements”. It is necessary to restart from the beginning and address the starting point in order to undo the criminal “Fait Accompli”.
Organizational courage is needed to support Palestinians – Palestinians are indigenous people who refuse to quit, to be forgotten, to be deleted. Let them know and feel that they are not alone, that they won’t be abandoned again… never again… ever.
A rogue terrorist and criminal "state" has so far disdained 56 UNSC, 17 UNGA, and 14 UNESCO Resolutions. Isn’t it troubling that this “state” is still a member of the UN?
The actions of the Israeli government, including its dismissal of the UN Secretary-General's remarks and its refusal to acknowledge the International Court of Justice (ICJ), are deeply concerning and undermine democratic principles, the rule of law, and human rights. In a blatant declaration, the IOF pretend to take “more precautions” while slaughtering children and women.
How one should feel when the UNICEF representative in Gaza (whom we thank for being in Gaza) declares, although well-intentioned, “The number of killed children in Gaza is unacceptable." May we ask what is an acceptable number of slaughtered children? This is the exact non-attitude that condemns the very existence of such bodies. Then we also have: the UN warns of “blatant disregard for basic Humanity” (whatever this means) … what a flagrant understatement! The universal jargon, narrative have become so hypocritical!
To those organizations, we say, “Your silence is Deafening!” It will lead us finally to raise suspicions regarding most of the international bodies. Sorry for renaming them ironically: Kill The Children Fund / Human Plight Watch / Criminels Sans Frontières / AmNasty International / UNitheft / ECOchoc / Blinds, Deafs International / WHO? / FOUL / World Rogue Project / Pariah International / World Starvation Programme, with the rest of the UN agencies and their actions to be quoted as UNdo, UNsee, UNsay, UNthink, UNcare, and UNact.
After decades of barbarism, months of CleansOcide, following the world's inaction, you can now read in Haaretz: “…every Gazan now has a personal bill, which cannot be forgiven, with every resident of Israel. This bill is now an independent context” … and you read on: “…will live constantly frightened, threatened, tense and stressed society… no reconciliation…no political solution..." Was this your mission?
Organizations, as well as political figures, the US, and most Western leaders, officials, and influencer media used to have what is now commonly known as a Credibility Gap ... now they fall into a Credibility Abyss wading in its stagnant bottom. It seems that they are trapped with no apparent escape route, let alone the possibility of bridging the divide. Let's assist them in filling the void, with themselves included, transforming it into their own "Wonderful World".
Finally, in the wake of what preceded, we, the Ignored and Oppressed on Earth, call on you to immediately take action before the situation leads you to a state of redundancy.
