Biden will fall off the bike again when creating an Arab 'NATO'
The US president, instead of sincerely listening to his people, tries again to meddle in the affairs of other countries, creating a new military alliance that no one here needs.
The US president's statements about a military alliance uniting "Israel" with its former regional enemies sound rather dubious because of the disapproval of many Arab governments and widespread public opposition.
Joe Biden, on his current visit to the Arab countries, somewhat resembles the princess in Andersen's fairy tale "The Swineherd," who did not want a real rose or a sincerely singing nightingale. She was ready to kiss the pig herder for an opportunity to own an ordinary useless trinket. So the US president, instead of sincerely listening to his people, solving the internal problems of the energy crisis in the US, and promoting domestic producers of the oil and gas sector, tries again to meddle in the affairs of other countries, creating a new military alliance that no one here needs. Thus, he hopes to take the very trinket, which will definitely not do him any favors, but will only increase the tension within many international issues.
Indeed, it would hardly be said that the development of relations between NATO and the Arab world is in the interests of the Persian Gulf countries now. In his latest article in the Washington Post, Biden reiterated that he would continue his aggressive course of confrontation with Russia, and that the US would try to surpass China. The president of the US still seems to see himself as the Demiurge of ordering the world, but, frankly, a different image would suit him better today - that of the Egyptian God Seth, who is identified with destruction, chaos and despotism. Seth could quietly forget all agreements, as Biden often does, turn into a pig, spit in the face, and disappear.
Biden's desire to fight those countries to which the Arab world expresses deep piety today proves once again that the US president is far from being Putin's opponent as a strategist. The Russian president is fundamentally different from his American counterpart in being a "container". This is a term used in psychology describing people able to filter through themselves, analyze the problems of another person, and then put them back in a well-arranged form. And this skill of political empathy and strategic thinking Putin masters perfectly. Now it's not in his country to think about what to fill the gas tank or how to save electricity: the Russian leader has thought about everything and predicted everything in advance. Therefore, it is not surprising that on the eve of Biden's arrival in Saudi Arabia it became known that Vladimir Putin would not only hold talks with Recep Erdogan but also do this in Tehran, during the summit in “Astana format".
The degree of dissatisfaction with recent US policies in the Persian Gulf is striking many people who visit them. For example, Arab political commentator Bariya Alamuddin visited there the day before and noted that she still has a sense of double standards in the way Western states are actively intervening in the Ukrainian conflict. She stated that the Arab world is just now embracing Russia and China. Even more, realizing all the risks that Europe does not think about at all. As we know, Russia sends about half of its wheat production to Arab countries. It also provides more than 60% of the world's production of sunflower oil; the main importers here are Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, and the UAE. The protracted conflict, which included the US side, is already creating a delay in wheat and corn exports not only from Russia, but also from Ukraine. At a time when world wheat prices have almost doubled, this will inevitably lead to a price hike.
Who will suffer the most? Libya, Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, Morocco and Tunisia. As economists point out, more than 70 million people in Egypt buy subsidized bread, which is 270 million, tortillas a day. Such grain delays could turn into major domestic political upheavals, and as many analysts point out, the situation could be worse than the revolts during the Arab Spring.
That is why the leaders of Middle Eastern countries have made serious adjustments to their policies. The Arab states did not give in to US blackmail and refused to impose any sanctions against Russia. Moreover, Saudi Arabia and the UAE ignored Washington's call to increase oil production in order to compensate for the reduction of energy exports from Russia.
According to Arab News, the US has decided to raise the stakes against Iran in recent months, as the Biden administration has actively implemented oil and petrochemical sanctions against the Iranian regime. During his tour, Biden will sign an agreement with "Israel", promising that both regimes will use "all elements of national power" to ensure that Iran never obtains nuclear weapons. The US president promised an easing of sanctions against Iran in exchange for deterring its nuclear program. However, looking back at Biden's other unfulfilled promises, it is certain that instead of sanctions lifting, US pressure and interference in the internal affairs of other countries will increase. Especially when US opponents are taking Russia's side one after another. The day before it became known that the DPRK officially recognized the Donetsk People's Republic, as exactly Syria did at the end of June - officially recognized the DNR and LPR as sovereign territories.
"Today, some countries having more military 'muscle,' such as a navy or missiles, begin to determine how and with whom to live. And this is wrong. Again, we see double standards. Let's take Kosovo for example. When Yugoslavia was bombed, no one remembered any legal aspects at that time, and when Russia came to the aid of the Russian people in Donbass, appealing to the Western and European community to think it over, to sit down at the negotiating table to discuss the autonomy of these republics in the legal field, nobody even wanted to hear our country. If a free referendum had been held in 2014, I think that if not 90%, definitely 70% of Ukrainians would have rejected this regime. And when you are under the American gun, which is exactly the case in Ukraine now, it is difficult to be a hero and to express your opinion," famous politician, leader of trade union "SOTSPROF" Sergey Vostretsov said at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.
Another Biden task will be to try to negotiate the transfer of old Soviet armaments for the benefit of Ukraine. As Vasily Kashin, director of the Center for Comprehensive International Studies of the Higher School of Economics, told the Russian media, it is unlikely that today any Arab country would dare to transfer Soviet weapons to the United States, because this would have the most severe consequences in their relations with Russia, which are not beneficial to anyone.
History gives the world many examples of ardent love for rulers, but it knows others when no one will thank them for anything. And you will be held accountable for every blunder. In the case of Biden, who instead of solving acute problems inside the country and trying to stabilize relations with Russia is flying to Saudi Arabia to beg for more oil, this will surely be another fall off the bike. However, this time no one will help him stand up. And no one will say thank you. Because people never forgive such stupid mistakes. Even if they are made by an elderly confused person.
