The story untold
You might get a message that you are “supporting violence against a particular group of people” if you share an international report or an article talking about what is happening in Gaza.
In a world where everybody talks about democracy and freedom of speech, you might be under the impression that all stories will find a way to be told. This is nothing more than an elusive propaganda installed into our minds by media, politicians, and social media. In real life, many stories will go untold as they don’t apply to the terms and conditions of “free” media of the “free” world. All you have to do is to put a post that goes against the mainstream media to receive a message telling you that your account has been restricted or even deleted. Who puts the terms? How are they applied? Did you hear about Big Brother?
“The Big Brother is watching you;” this phrase is taken from George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984”. You don’t see such a message on your computer and telephone screen, but you might get a message that you are “supporting violence against a particular group of people” if you share an international report or an article talking about what is happening in Gaza. A video of a Palestinian talking about his family's suffering will be considered as a “praising of a terrorist attack." This happened to me and to some friends. Is the Big Brother watching our accounts?
TikTok is investigating the reasons behind the increasing number of likes to Palestinian content compared to the Israeli one. Do you think such an investigation would take place if things were vice versa? So, we are under surveillance; it is not a conspiracy theory, truth is under control. An American official said his country has no evidence that "Israel" is killing civilians or journalists deliberately. Nearly 24,000 killed, including 8000 children and 106 journalists, are deemed "acceptable collateral damage." Under the title “Children in Gaza need urgent life-saving support – every minute counts,” UNICEF called for urgent aid to avoid famine.
Try to share a video of the two kids (8 & 14 years old) shot by an IOF sniper in Jenin in the occupied West Bank; immediately, you will get the message that you are “violating this platform's community standards." So the American official was telling the truth he has no evidence, simply because you are not allowed to present any such evidence.
One can argue that freedom of speech doesn’t mean allowing hate speech, it is true, but does it allow killing and ethnic cleansing? What should a witness of such genocide do to tell his story? What evidence can he present other than photos of his dead family and destroyed home?
“Big Brother” typically refers to the idea that technology is being used to excessively monitor, control, or surveil individuals’ lives, potentially violating privacy rights and limiting personal freedom. From Big Brother’s point of view, objectivity lies in the equality between the victim and the killer. This applies to non-white man causes, in the sense that you can talk freely about atrocities in Ukraine but not in Gaza. Civilians in Gaza are sons of a "lesser god", according to “free” communities’ standards.
John Kirby, a retired United States Navy rear admiral serving as Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council in the White House, stated that the USA doesn’t support a permanent cease-fire now. The same statement was echoed by many Israeli officials, but Amnesty has a different opinion as it calls for stopping “unlawful attacks by all parties." It is simply asking the Palestinians to stop showing their death and defending themselves, and in return, "Israel" should stop airstrikes, shelling, and ground operations.
Preventing the Palestinian genocide from reaching the world is "objectivity" and aligns with the “free” world’s community standards. The 24000 killed should stay as a number that might be arguable and needs a “neutral” investigation to be accepted. Stories, dreams, and hopes of those not “neutrally investigated” should not be told. We should not mention their names, their photos should be erased once and forever, so that the white man’s world leaders can sleep in peace, win the elections, and lecture us about human rights.
