37%+ of Americans believe they would be better presidents than Biden and Trump
Leading up to the first presidential debate of the 2024 election season on June 27, where Biden and Trump will take center stage, a recent survey by Talker Research, involving 500 Democrats and 500 Republicans, found that 61% of Americans will be closely tuning in. Despite a New York jury finding Trump guilty of falsifying documents to hide a payment to silence adult actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election, practicality could be the main obstacle if he faces prison but still wins the 2024 presidential race. As a presidential candidate, Trump's eligibility is bound only by the provisions of the United States Constitution, which stipulate that the president must be at least 35 years old, a natural-born citizen, and have resided in the United States for at least 14 years. Notably, criminal convictions are not mentioned as disqualifying criteria.
