Innovative education plan: How displaced Lebanese students are learning in war time
In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Valeri Abi Hanna, the Principal of Estephan Juan Assi Public School in Hsarat, Jbeil District, discussed the innovative education model they have implemented to integrate displaced Lebanese students into the school's system. One of the challenges the school faced was accommodating English-educated students. They had to first unregister displaced students from private institutions and enroll them in theirs. To bridge the language gap, the students continued receiving English-taught lessons, such as Math, online through materials provided by their former schools. The school's approach highlights how thoughtful planning can uphold the right to education for all in war times.
