Geoffrey Hinton, the "Godfather of Artificial Intelligence", warns the public about the threats this technology poses to humanity on several different levels as he played a major role in the development process. Other technology giants have also warned about the dangers of AI. For instance, Elon Musk requested companies to put the development process on halt for a period of six months so that they can examine the technology's dangers and work around them.
