Ruby Rose Accuses Warner Bros of Poor Working Conditions
Former Batwoman actress Ruby Rose accuses Warner Bros of poor and abusive working conditions on set, while the company says it received complaints about the actress' behavior.
Former Batwoman actress Ruby Rose revealed that entertainment company Warner Bros, decided to leave her out of the series after she made allegations of poor working conditions.
On her Instagram account, Rose posted several stories and claimed that the series' set had an abusive and poor environment.
The Australian actress and model divulged that she abandoned the series after she and several co-workers were seriously injured on set.
Rose described the series as an "awful show" and accused several figures of poor and abusive behavior, revealing that she "wouldn't return for any amount of money."
"They ruined Kate Kane (the character) and they destroyed Batwoman, not me," she expressed, referring to Warner Bros.
The former Batwoman also accused Dougray Scott, her former co-star, of yelling at women and "hurting a female stunt double."
For his part, Scott denied Rose's "defamatory and damaging claims."
"They are entirely made up and never happened," he said.
In response, a Warner Bros spokesperson told BBC that the company had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of Batwoman based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned.
Rose was replaced by Javicia Leslie for the second season. Leslie is currently starring in Batwoman's third season as well.
