Talent agency UTA has dropped Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon following her comments at a pro-Palestine rally in New York this week.

"There are a lot of people that are afraid, that are afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence," she said as she encouraged holding conversations with Jewish Americans, who don’t feel "safe" at this time.

Sarandon, known for sharing pro-Palestine posts on X and sharing posts by Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters, has come under fire for her stance.

Because of Waters' pro-Palestine outspoken stance, he was denied hotel reservations last week during his tour in Uruguay and Argentina.

A spokesperson for Spyglass, the entertainment company behind the Scream film franchise, released a statement in response.

"Spyglass’ stance is unequivocally clear: We have zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech."

Barrera's 2022 feature earned $137.7 million globally. She also starred in Scream VI which topped $168.9 million at the global box office.

'Happy Death Day' filmmaker, Christopher Landon is now directing Scream VII and in response, released a statement on X on Tuesday.

"This is my statement: 💔 Everything sucks. Stop yelling," he said, adding: "This was not my decision to make."
