Iran exported $200Mln in technical, engineering services in Q1
18 certificates were approved for exporting technical and engineering services overseas in the first four months of the Iranian calendar.
Mohammad Reza Karimzadeh, director general of TPOI's Technical-Engineering Services and Knowledge-based Products Office, informed MEHR news that $200 million worth of technical and engineering services were exported from the country in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year.
Karimzadeh noted an 18 percent growth in the export of these services from March 21 to July 22, 2024, compared to the same period last year.
He added that 18 certificates were approved for exporting technical and engineering services overseas.
Karimzadeh further noted that these services include sectors such as tourism, health tourism, creative industries, road, sea, rail, and air transit, as well as knowledge-based products.
He also mentioned that the value of these products exported from March 21, 2023, to March 20, 2024, was $15.6 billion.

In the previous Iranian calendar year, the total value of technical and engineering services exported was approximately $1.292 billion.
Iran has signed 30 contracts with various countries, including Iraq, China, and Russia, demonstrating the country's commitment to fostering this export market through comprehensive programs and incentive packages​.
On July 13, the TPOI reported that From in the first three months of the Iranian calendar year, Iran exported about $3 billion worth of products to Iraq, reflecting a 28% increase from the same period last year.
In March, IRNA reported that trade exchanges between Iran and China witnessed a 37 percent increase in the first two months of 2024 compared to a similar period from last year.
