Jeff Bezos Steps Away from Amazon
Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world, steps down from being CEO of "Amazon" to be succeeded by Andy Gacy and to devote himself to other projects, such as managing his company Blue Origin, which will launch the first space tourism flight.
Today, Amazon is worth more than $1,700 billion on the stock exchange, and in 2020 generated $386 billion in sales across a variety of industries from e-commerce, artificial intelligence, and film production.
Bezos is giving up his position to devote more time to other projects, such as managing his "Blue Origin" company, which will launch the first space tourist flight on July 20.
According to CNN, Bezos will continue to influence the company, as he remains its largest shareholder, owning 10% of the shares.
And Bezos announced a while ago that he would fly on Blue Origin's first passenger flight this month.
