China-Russia trade up 29% to $97.71Bln in 2022 - Customs Authority
Trade between China and Russia rose 29%, amounting to $97.91 billion in the first seven months of 2022.
The Chinese General Administration of Customs revealed on Sunday that trade between China and Russia rose 29 percent, amounting to $97.91 billion in the first seven months of 2022.
China's exports to Russia amounted to $36.26 billion in goods during that period, which is equivalent to 5.2 percent higher in comparison with the previous year. Imports from Russia grew 48.8 percent and amounted to $61.44 billion.
Trade between the two countries in the month of July was $16.79 billion, with $10.02 billion in exports from China and $6.77 billion in imports.
Bilateral trade increased by 35.8 percent to a record high of $146.887 billion at the end of 2021.
In February 2022, the presidents of the two countries set a goal to reach $200 billion in bilateral trade by 2024, after they attained the previous threshold of $100 billion in 2018.
