Iranian exports rise 12% year-over-year growth
Iran's exports from March 2022 to February of this year totaled $48.8 billion.
The non-oil Iranian exports increased by 12.22% year over year in the 11 months leading up to February 19, according to data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Iran's exports from March 2022 to February of this year totaled $48.8 billion, according to a statement released by IRICA on Sunday.
According to the announcement, export shipments fell to 111.3 million metric tons, a 1.16% volume decrease over the previous 11 months, from late February 2022.
Press TV reported that the statistics do not include passenger-carried goods and products, nor Iran's exports of crude oil, mazut, and kerosene.
According to IRICA, petrochemicals accounted for $21.7 billion, or 44.49%, of all Iranian exports between March 2022 and February 2023. Furthermore, Iran exported $6.8 billion in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) during that same timeframe.
According to the customs authority, China accounted for $13.6 billion in purchases of Iranian goods in the 11 months leading up to late February, followed by Iraq with $9.4 billion and Turkey with $6.9 billion.
Regarding imports, IRICA reported that from March of last year until February of this year, Iran imported 33.6 million metric tonnes of goods worth $53.7 billion, an increase of 15.28% in value terms compared to the prior period.
