After the streets had been cleared of garbage, 61 cleaners swept the streets with disinfectant equipment.
Four small electric sweepers gave the roads a final step to restore the area's usual appearance.
In 2022, the amount of collected garbage for the New Year celebrations was recorded at 7.5 tons and that of recyclables was at 4.8 tons.
The DEP stated that this increase is correlated to relaxed attitudes toward eating and drinking in public, including the easing of pandemic restrictions.
