As it turns out, tea is quite beneficial to health, with advantages encompassing the brain, the stomach, to the immune system.

L-theanine, present in green and oolong tea, has been associated with a decreased risk of acquiring cognitive illnesses including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Chamomile tea is a powerful natural anti-anxiety remedy.

In regards to muscles, it also helps facilitate sleep and relaxes sore muscles.

White tea is high in antioxidants, which have been linked to a decreased risk of cancer, black tea also has anti-inflammatory properties.

White tea contains fluoride, which is beneficial to your dental health; however, black tea can discolor your teeth.

Hibiscus tea can help with cravings. Irritable bowel syndrome and constipation are both combated by peppermint tea. According to the University of Pennsylvania's medical school, rooibos tea can increase good cholesterol while decreasing bad cholesterol.

According to UPenn, you can apply steamed and cooled black tea to cuts and bruises to reduce swelling and pain.

However, like with coffee, you should use caution when drinking tea. Making tea lattes with cream, sugar, and syrups can dilute the natural advantages and add loads of calories.

And don't be fooled by the flood of "detox" or "weight loss" teas hawked on Instagram and Facebook.
Whether you start your day with coffee or tea, drink plenty of it and receive the advantages.
