A decade of Reality As It Is... Tomorrow Starts Today
After a decade of resilience and resistance through media, Al Mayadeen adopts its new slogan "Tomorrow Starts Today."

10 years: Tomorrow Starts Today
Al Mayadeen Media Network, an independent Arab satellite news channel based in Beirut, Lebanon, debuted on June 11, 2012. In a crisis-ridden globe, the network was dedicated to providing facts and viewpoints.
A decade later, Al Mayadeen TV continues to broadcast Reality As It Is. It has always been the voice of the oppressed, and it openly opposes hegemony and imperialism... ten years of campaigns and reports focused on confronting injustice and extremism. Today, Al Mayadeen introduces its new slogan, Tomorrow Starts Today.
For ten years, the Network has continuously broadcasted for 24 hours, introducing more than ten news bulletins and approximately 17 different programs. The Channel's reporters are dispersed across the globe, from Moscow to Washington, London, Tehran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Europe, and all Arab countries.
The Network offers a variety of programs aimed at reaching people using the language of reason. It uses modern and alternative media approaches mixed with visual media, making the discourse appropriate for people of all ages and all cultures. It continuously thrives to let the voice that rejects all forms of prejudice and racism be heard, and it clings to a single compass that is geared toward the emancipation of land and peoples within a framework that connects its audience to the rest of the world.
Since its debut, Al Mayadeen has distinguished itself by providing inside scoop on its news and programs. The Channel has always been a pioneer in covering Israeli wars in Gaza and transforming its coverage of many events into a source of information for major international networks and newspapers.
It is also dedicated to chronicling major world events that have had a significant impact on the world order or have gained international exposure. Coverage varies, with broadcasts ranging from the Corona outbreak and its global impact to the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and the US strategic failure in the region. The Network also covered the events that followed George Floyd's murder, a victim of bigotry and police violence in the United States, all the way to the war in Ukraine and Russia's confrontation against NATO's border plans, which had an impact on the world beyond the two nations involved.
Strategic retaliation; Martyrdom of Suleimani, Al-Muhandis
In a world-shaking event, Al Mayadeen kept a close eye on the events that followed the Martyrdom of Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis as a result of a US airstrike that targeted them in Iraq.
The Network was devoted to covering the following events not only to honor the two martyrs and their roles as Resistance figures in the war-torn Middle East but also to highlight the US role in corruption and chaos in the region. The global hegemon predicted that assassinating the General in a third-world country while he was on a diplomatic mission would turn the tables, but it failed.
Al Mayadeen's coverage of the strike and the repercussion and reactions that followed underlined the US hegemonic and imperialist role in the Middle East under the guise of battling terrorism, taking into account that what the US committed was no less than a terrorist act.
'Al-Quds is the capital of Palestine'
Palestine has always been the core of Al Mayadeen, since day one. As a pioneer in covering events in Palestine, Al Mayadeen has played a crucial role in broadcasting the truth behind the Israeli occupation's zionist practices and daily violence against Palestinians.
Al Mayadeen has not only been devoted to portraying Reality As It Is but has also engaged in taking firm and solid statements in favor of the truth and resistance. A few words and a firm statement can sometimes jolt a planet through the screen; Al-Quds is the capital of Palestine.
The Network has devoted a significant portion of its programs to Palestine, the home of imprisoned free souls. While much of the world remains indifferent or clueless about the injustices taking place in the occupied Arab country, the Network never fails to expose the occupation's atrocities.
The coverage of Palestine transcends borders, placing pressure on "Israel" by highlighting the entity's numerous violations of human rights, in addition to its criminal occupation. The occupation has tried on several occasions to silence Al Mayadeen correspondents in Palestine in order to stop the Network's fearless and tenacious coverage of Israeli violence against Palestinians.
In one instance, Al Mayadeen correspondent in occupied Al-Quds reported in August that the Network's crew was attacked by the Israeli police while covering the settlers’ incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and conveying their provocations inside the Old City.
"The Heroes" on Al Mayadeen
Al Mayadeen Media Network chose the Operation Freedom Tunnel heroes as Person of the Year 2021 at the start of the current year to recognize these heroes for their merits, inspiration, and inventiveness for the cause of freedom and the will to live.
In an effort to continue these heroes' rare and unprecedented story in our modern era, and on the occasion of its the operation's first anniversary, Al Mayadeen created documentary series titled The Heroes to relay the true account of the six prisoners who liberated themselves by digging a tunnel underneath the Gilboa Prison that the occupation calls "The Iron Safe" and defied the Israeli occupation's intransigence and maximum security.
The episodes also portray the stories of the five prisoners who assisted in the liberation operation, based on their actual narrative in which they exclusively revealed to Al Mayadeen the intricacies of the operation, the events that were never told, and the events that followed.
Why Al Mayadeen?
Al Mayadeen's CEO Ghassan Ben Jeddou explained why the Network was specifically chosen to publish their story. He believes this can be attributed to "the prisoners' good faith in Al Mayadeen and because they consider [the fact] that the Network cares about the Palestinian cause, the Resistance, and the Captive Movement and prisoners," thanking them for their trust.
In this context, Ben Jeddou revealed that "some offered millions to get the true story of the [prisoners'] liberation and did not even expect to get the full story, but the prisoners abstained and chose Al Mayadeen for nothing in return," asserting that "the prisoners who, in this way, sacrificed themselves, do not await financial revenue; they are above accepting such a thing."
He emphasized that "the message from this work to the entire Arab world and free ones in the whole world is that there is an oppressed Palestinian cause that should be always spoken about, and there is a forgotten, marginalized, and oppressed Captive Movement that the world has a duty to shed the light on."
Al-Quds Day
Every year, Al Mayadeen is committed to showing utmost solidarity with the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people by commemorating Al-Quds Day. Countries all across the world, including the United States, witnessed massive rallies to support Palestinians who face the perilous potential of losing their rights under the US plan and stand strong against Zionist atrocities and the actions of some Arab governments.
Today is #QudsDay , a day dedicated to unite the world on the issue of Occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds) and support #Palestinians . In honor of the special day, Al Mayadeen carefully broadcasts content that enriches people across the globe with information that reveals the true face of the Israelis and the Palestinian suffering under the occupation. Also in honor of that day, the Network unmasked a new sign last year at its headquarters in Beirut to renew its commitment to the Palestinian cause.
On #QudsDay , #AlMayadeen unmasked a new sign at its headquarters in #Beirut , renewing its nine years commitment to the #Palestinian people in their quest to achieve their inalienable rights and build a future of #Peace .

Nothing normal about normalization
Al Mayadeen's coverage of the normalization agreements was meant to reveal how some states are attempting to create the fatal illusion that the presence of "Israel" in the region is organic. They are attempting to imply that "Israel's" daily aggressions, massacres, and daily atrocities would end when its foes and adversaries withdraw their weapons and the battle stops. What began more than a century ago is still very much alive, yet nowadays, they are using a new set of tools to carry out their expansive colonial aspirations.
Among the sequence of normalization agreements that began on September 15, 2020, following the first agreements between the UAE, Bahrain, and "Israel", Al Mayadeen was committed to emphasizing the influence of governments on one another and their silence over Israeli aggression in Palestine.
The aforementioned states periodically started normalizing agreements with "Israel" to feed their interests, neglecting the interests of the Palestinians that do not, in any way, exceed the rights of any human. As a Network that strives to speak in the name of the oppressed, Al Mayadeen was devoted to highlighting the agreements of disgrace.
As part of the normalization coverage, the network engaged with a variety of visual and written content that tackles the different angles of how normalization agreements harm not only the Palestinians but also the Arab world. Some of the content was produced by the Al Mayadeen Online team that didn't fail to highlight how some Arab states abandoned Palestine, not to mention the repercussions of the agreements.
Free Them All
Al Mayadeen stood in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners who engaged in heroic hunger strikes in protest of the Israeli aggression and brutality. The Palestinian prisoner's never-ending battle against Israeli occupation violence was always a centerpiece in all the Network's productions.

Through TV broadcasts and social media content, the Network was able to broadcast the Palestinian struggle at a time other networks thrived on silencing it. Using the hashtag #FreeThemAll, Al Mayadeen Online participated in the viral hashtag to spread news and content in solidarity with the prisoners.
Seif Al-Quds: New deterrence equation
The battle of Seif Al-Quds astounded the world, particularly the Israelis. Al Mayadeen played its role in broadcasting how the Palestinian people and Resistance Factions worked together and completed one another during the battle. It was important for the Network to broadcast the truth on the battlefield, rather than the false information being portrayed on Western outlets.

Other than highlighting Palestinian unity, covering the events of Seif Al-Quds in 2021 was important to highlight the Israeli failure in Palestine and how a new deterrence equation was imposed. In a series of written reports and visual content, Al Mayadeen was able to show the different angles of Seif Al-Quds Battle and how it was an Israeli loss and a Palestinian victory.

Stand with Yemen
Since 2015, Yemen has been under daily aggression by the Saudi-led coalition, which butchers civilians, destroys infrastructure and residential areas, and starves innocent Yemenis - all while the international community remains silent and complicit.

Who stood with Yemen? Al Mayadeen was one of the TV networks to stand in solidarity with Yemen and expose the US-Saudi-led atrocities befalling the Yemenis. While the world remained silent, the Network was actively broadcasting the horrors of the Western coalition that turned Yemen into a war-torn country, resulting in what was internationally recognized as the world's worst humanitarian crisis in modern history.

Al Mayadeen also participated in the viral hashtag #EndTheSiegeOnYemen.
While the international powers tried to wash the blood off their hands, the Network devoted its resources to keep broadcasting the truth of the war and not what the Western newsletters and networks were broadcasting. By revealing what the aggressive coalition was committing, Al Mayadeen was able to reveal the true face of some Arab states and the lengths they would reach for their own interests.
#YemenCantWait
Al Mayadeen launched hashtag #YemenCantWait to highlight the humanitarian crisis happening in the country, as a result of the aggressive coalition, which was prolonging the war with no regard for any humanitarian consequences.

The Network is also committed to highlighting the international community's silence on the tragic situation in the nation and broadcasting it. The situation in Yemen amply demonstrated the double standards of the international community regarding who merits recognition and who does not.
The war on #Yemen and the #Saudi-led coalition's blockade continues to push the country deeper into the world's largest humanitarian crisis.#YemenCantWait https://t.co/aRVDEDUEj0

Tomorrow Starts Today
Al Mayadeen has adopted an image that is dedicated to broadcasting issues related to freedom, reform, social justice, protecting free speech, and establishing internal national options. For ten years, the Network made sure to pay attention to the daily problems of the populace, touched on the ambitions of young people and women, and kept track of the conditions of the underprivileged and oppressed wherever they may be.
For a decade, Al Mayadeen maintained efforts to emphasize the Arab world's unity and engaged with its culture and regional policy. It remains prejudiced in favor of a tolerant culture that condemns terrorism and extremism. It is honored to always be the voice of truth and the oppressed all over the world.
And with the slogan Tomorrow Starts Today, we open a new chapter with much more to offer.
