At least 32 dead mostly children in nursery attack in Thailand: Police
The shooter is a former policeman that was fired from the force in 2021 and has reportedly killed his family and then committed suicide following the attack on the nursery.
An attack on a nursery in northeast Thailand, carried out by a man wielding a gun and a knife, led to the death of at least 32 people including 23 children, as per a police statement.
A spokesperson for the national police stated that the attack took place in Nong Bua Lam Phu province, while a local police officer, colonel Jakkapat Vijitraithaya, said that the attacker is a former policeman.
The former policeman, according to reports, who was fired from the police force back in 2021, is 34-year-old Panya Khamrap and was allegedly under drug influence at the time of the attack.
Following the shooting, Khamrap reportedly killed his family and then committed suicide.
