Child Invites New Zealand Police to Come Play...and They Do!
A 4-year-old boy from New Zealand dialed police while his father wasn't looking. So how did the police handle the matter? They took him up on his offer!
New Zealand's Southern District police posted a recording of a call made to them by a 4-year-old boy.
The boy wasted no time getting right to what he wanted. After hellos were exchanged the child asked: "Policy lady, can I tell you something?"
After a bit of back and forth, he reveals his true intentions "I’ve got some toys for you… Come over and see them!”
It was here that the toddler's dad picked up the phone and told her it was a simple mistake.
As police usually send a patrol car over as a precautionary measure, the dispatcher sent a car over and told them a little boy wants to show police his toys.
“Constable Kurt from Southern District Police responded by arriving at the child’s house and was shown,” the police said, “an array of toys. He also had a good educational chat with the child and his parents about only using 111 for emergencies.”
