Derailed train kills 13 in Iran

Authorities reported that it crashed with an excavator on the railroad.
According to doctors, the accident killed 13 people and wounded at least 50 others, 15 of whom are in serious condition.
According to the governor of Tabas, four train carriages derailed in the tragedy.
Three provinces' helicopters and ambulances have been rushed to the site of the derailment.
In order to upgrade its old fleet, Iran has added hundreds of new train carriages produced or restored domestically to its railroad network in recent years.
A train disaster in Sistan and Balouchestan Province in September 2019 killed three individuals and wounded 35 others.
