Four killed in Afghanistan shooting
A spokesperson from the Afghan Interior Ministry has verified the four fatalities, which include three Spanish tourists, stating that they were killed as a result of gunfire in Bamiyan City.
Local authorities in central Afghanistan, along with officials from Spain, reported that a shooting incident in the popular tourism spot of Bamiyan resulted in the killing of three Spanish tourists and one Afghan citizen.
A spokesperson from the Afghan Interior Ministry verified the four fatalities, stating that they occurred due to gunfire in Bamiyan city. He added that another four foreigners and three Afghans were wounded.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez posted on X, "Overwhelmed by the news of the murder of Spanish tourists in Afghanistan."

The European Union condemned the attack "in the strongest terms," and the body said, "Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims who lost their lives and those injured in the attack."
As per initial details provided by hospital sources, the injured individuals hailed from Norway, Australia, Lithuania, and Spain. Security forces have arrested four people in connection with the attack.
The Taliban government, through a statement by the Interior Ministry spokesperson, vehemently denounced the incident, expressing heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. Additionally, they assured that all perpetrators of the crime will be apprehended and subjected to punishment.
