Frankfurt airport resumes normal operations after drone shutdown

Sources on Friday reported that Frankfurt Airport, Germany's largest air hub, has returned to regular operations after a brief suspension of activity lasting half an hour due to an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
According to a police spokesperson, an unauthorized UAV was sighted in the vicinity of the airport on Thursday evening, as reported by the German news agency DPA. This led to the cancellation or redirection of several flights.
As of Friday morning, the situation had fully stabilized, and there were no flight cancellations reported at the airport, as per the news agency.
The identity of the drone operator remains unknown.
