Helicopter crashes in Gaziantep, leaves 2 pilots dead: Turkey
The Turkish Interior Minister sends his condolences to the Turkish nation and the families of the victims.
Turkish Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, announced today that two pilots were killed and a technician was injured in the Turkish south-central province of Gaziantep due to a helicopter crash with the cause yet to be determined.
In a statement on X, Yerlikaya explained, "The helicopter of the aviation department of the general security directorate, which took off from Hatay to Gaziantep, crashed near the village of Kartal in Gaziantep province. The last contact with the helicopter was established at 10:49 p.m. local time Saturday [19:49 GMT]. Two pilots have died and a technician has been injured."

He also expressed condolences to the Turkish nation and specifically to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to an injured police officer.

The injured personnel, a technician, is under treatment in hospital, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said in a statement.
