Musk is poised to finalize his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter before the end of the month. If he fails to do so, a breach-of-contract trial will be held in November.
The SpaceX founder announced on Tuesday that he has already sold 10,000 bottles of the fragrance. "With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable -- why did I even fight it for so long!?" he joked on Twitter.

The world's richest man's Twitter bio now portrays him as a "Perfume Salesman", and a pinned tweet includes a link to the product's selling page via his firm The Boring Company's website.
The ad for the perfume shows a ruby red bottle with the name engraved on the front in the script. The tagline reads, "The Essence of Repugnant Desire." Each bottle retails for $100.
Musk is no new to his jokes going viral on the internet as a result of his legions of fans. In the past, the billionaire has promoted a variety of strange products that make reference to his sense of humor.
