One dead, numerous injured after accidental explosion in France

According to French broadcaster France Bleu, a massive explosion in the French town of La Meauffe on Saturday killed a 64-year-old man and injured many others, with one of them being taken to a hospital in critical condition.
France Bleu reported that five people met in the home of a deceased relative to rummage through his stuff. Later that day, they started a fire outside the home to burn stuff they no longer needed. According to the broadcaster, an explosion happened when a parcel containing an undisclosed material was tossed into the flames.
The explosion, which could be heard from nearly 4 miles away, blasted out windows and ripped off the roofs of surrounding buildings, according to the broadcaster
Access to the site has been limited because rescue teams cannot rule out the risk of another explosion.
