Second black box found in China Eastern plane crash
The second "black box" has been recovered from the crash of a China Eastern Boeing 737-800 last week, which killed 132 people, according to Chinese state media.
The second black box from a crashed China Eastern passenger plane has been recovered, local media reported.
On Monday, the plane was flying between the cities of Kunming and Guangzhou when it crashed into a mountainside, killing all 132 people on board.
The disaster's cause is unknown at this time.
"The second black box from China Eastern flight MU5735 was recovered on March 27," according to Xinhua news agency.
The plane was outfitted with two flight recorders: one in the rear passenger cabin that tracked flight data and the other in the cockpit that recorded cockpit voice.
The first black box was discovered on Wednesday and was sent to Beijing for examination, a process expected to take several days.
The second black box contains technical information such as speed, altitude, and heading.
With both recovered, investigators should be able to piece together what caused the plane to plummet more than 6,000 meters in less than a minute.

Hundreds of people, including firefighters, doctors, and investigators, are still on the scene, recovering human remains and the plane's wreckage.
The Chinese Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC) announced on Saturday evening that all of the people on board the plane had died, and that DNA testing had confirmed almost all of their identities.
It is worth mentioning that all 132 passengers and nine crew members were Chinese citizens.
China Eastern, one of China's four major airlines, and its subsidiaries have grounded all 223 of their Boeing 737-800s. The carrier stated that the grounding was merely a precaution and not an indication of a problem with the planes.
