Shooting in Croatia's Sisak leaves one person dead, multiple wounded
According to a police department authorities have detained a suspect in connection with the incident.
Croatian news portal Index reported on Saturday, citing law enforcement agencies, that one person was killed and multiple others were wounded as a result of a shooting that took place in the city of Sisak in central Croatia.
The man who remain unidentified opened fire using a Kalashnikov assault rifle, Index reported, noting that law enforcers have attended to the scene and blocked the area.

The local police further said that emergency services have extinguished a fire at three different locations in connection to the incident.
According to a police department in the Sisak-Moslavina county in central Croatia, authorities have detained a suspect in connection with the incident that left one person dead, six people hurt, and a number of houses and automobiles on fire in the city of Sisak.
"The man, who is allegedly connected with the shooting on the territory of Sisak, has been detained and taken to the police station for a criminal investigation. A 45-year-old woman was shot dead and four people were seriously injured," the police said in a statement.
The police added that a youngster and a further person both sought medical attention for very minor wounds. According to the authorities, the incident also caused material harm by partially damaging two private residences, an automobile, and two private dwellings, all of which were entirely destroyed by fire.
