Turkey: Two killed, 24 rescued in sinking migrant boat

A boat carrying illegal migrants sank near the coast of the Urla District in Izmir, Turkey, killing 2, media reported on Wednesday.
Coast guard teams conducted a thorough search and rescue operation from the air and land. Later, the bodies of two victims were found and 24 survivors were rescued.
The survivors were able to disembark on the shore on their own without assistance, the Turkish newspaper Huriyyet reported.
A plane, helicopter, two boats, and divers from the coast guard group were involved in the rescue operation, according to the newspaper.
