The organizations involved in Palestinian prisoners' affairs in the occupied West Bank revealed Tuesday that the Israeli occupation forces have been ramping up their arrest campaign in the wake of the Resistance's operation on October 7.

Lower estimates from data collected by appropriate organizations suggest that at least 4,000 Palestinians were arrested all over the occupied West Bank, with many, at least 1,000, from al-Khalil.

Some 150 women have been arrested thus far, both from the West Bank and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948. Additionally, more than 255 children have been arrested.

In terms of journalists detained by the Israeli occupation, there have been 45 recorded cases since October 7, 32 of whom are still incarcerated.

The Israeli occupation since the operation has also issued more than 2,100 administrative detention orders, including new ones and renewals of old ones.

Amid the rampant arrests campaign, there were six fatalities recorded in Israeli prisons, including Omar Daraghmeh from Rubas, Arafat Hamdan from Ramallah, Majed Zaqoul from Gaza, a fourth martyr whose identity is yet to be discovered, Abdulrahman Merhi from Salfit, and Thaer Abu Assab from Qalqilya.

The data regarding the number of prisoners includes those who were detained and then liberated and those who are still in detention, and it does not include any arrests made in Gaza as the Israeli occupation could choose not to declare any arrests there.

The total number of prisoners in the Israeli occupation's prisons amounts to more than 7,800, including more than 2,870 administrative detainees, and 260 people classified as "unlawful combatants" from Gaza.

Calls for burying prisoners alive

In a hateful post on X, the deputy mayor of occupied al-Quds, Aryeh Yitzhak King called to bury alive hundreds of Palestinian civilians imprisoned by "Israel" since October 7.

King has deleted the original post on X but a screenshot of the post remains online.

His post specifically referenced recent footage released by the IOF stripping Palestinians to their underwear, as King attempted to justify the act by saying "Muslim Nazis" in Gaza were being eliminated.

It is believed that the Palestinian men were detained in Beit Lahia, north of Gaza. "Israel" claims they are members of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.

"If it were up to me, I would have dispatched D-9 bulldozers and put them behind the mounds of dirt and would have given the order to cover all these hundreds of ants, while they’re still alive," King said in his deleted post.

Detaining children

Earlier in the week, Palestinian media reported, citing local sources, wide-scale raids carried out by the Israeli occupation forces across the cities and refugee camps of the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian media reported that Israeli forces arrested Palestinian youth Youssef al-Khatib, during an incursion into the city of Areeha in the West Bank. It's noteworthy that al-Khatib had been released as part of the recent prisoner exchange deal between the Palestinian Resistance and the Israeli occupation that took place during the seven-day truce.

Later, the media confirmed the release of al-Khatib, who was physically assaulted by the occupation forces.

Israeli occupation forces raided Nablus from the al-Tur neighborhood and the al-Yasmeena neighborhood in the old town of Nablus as well as the town of Qabalan to its south and arrested Mohammad Talal, from the town of Yatma south of Nablus, after storming and searching his house.
