The head of the Gaza government media office, Salama Marouf, said on Monday that "the continuation of Zionist-Nazi crimes against our people in Gaza, with 13,000 martyrs and missing persons in 31 days, represents a death certificate for the so-called international legitimacy, which remains silent in the face of the occupation's aggression and is unable to stop it, even for a single day."

Marouf held the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the World Health Organization responsible for protecting hospitals, after the Israeli occupation made them a target of its aggression, as fuel supplies are running out completely and the countdown began to turn off secondary power generators after the main generators have stopped.

He reported that the Israeli occupation has destroyed 222 schools and 88 government buildings, noting that 60 schools have been taken out of service.

He mentioned that the occupation's aircraft, tanks, and naval vessels have bombarded the Gaza Strip with more than 30,000 tonnes of explosives, averaging 82 tonnes per square kilometer since the beginning of the aggression on October 7.

According to the Gaza government media office, medical teams have recorded more than 10,000 deaths and 3,000 missing persons as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Strip.

The Israeli occupation has committed 1050 massacres, injured more than 25,000 Palestinians, and destroyed 32 ambulances. The aggression also caused severe damage to 113 health institutions and took 16 hospitals and 32 health centers out of service.

Marouf mentioned that the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has damaged 222,000 housing units and completely demolished 10,000 buildings, with 40,000 housing units completely destroyed. In addition, the occupation damaged 192 mosques, 56 of which were completely destroyed, and targeted three churches.

"Israel" has also committed multiple violations against government and media personnel, with 47 journalists, 53 imams and preachers, and 18 civil defense and rescue personnel killed in the aggression.

The head of the Gaza government media office highlighted that in 24 hours, the Israeli occupation targeted the Gaza Strip with 400 airstrikes, with the majority of them focusing on the vicinity of hospitals and some of their buildings, with clear targeting of hospitals and civilian evacuees and medical teams that provide humanitarian and medical services to the wounded and patients.

Marouf warned of the danger to the lives of displaced children who are suffering in an inhumane environment and the health crisis caused by the Israeli occupation in hospitals, neighborhoods, and shelter centers, coupled with the scarcity of resources and the famine that has become apparent in all Gaza governorates.

He emphasized that the Israeli occupation, in parallel with its military war, is waging a war to starve the residents of the Gaza Strip, which is causing life crises for the residents as the second month of the Israeli aggression begins.

He explained that within 17 days since their entry began, 522 trucks of humanitarian aid have entered Gaza, which is equivalent to what used to enter the Strip in one day before October 7.

Marouf renewed his demand for the creation of a safe passage, the speedy entry of humanitarian and relief aid, and the acceleration of the travel of the wounded for treatment outside the Gaza Strip.

In a related context, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called Monday for a ceasefire in Gaza, warning that the Strip was becoming a "graveyard for children."

"The unfolding catastrophe makes the need for a humanitarian ceasefire more urgent with every passing hour," he told reporters at the UN headquarters.

"The nightmare in Gaza is more than a humanitarian crisis. It is a crisis of humanity."

Guterres also deplored the killings of media workers. "More journalists have reportedly been killed over a four-week period than in any conflict in at least three decades," he highlighted.
