Hezbollah Executive Council chief Sayyed Hashem Safieddine says the Islamic Resistance has the initiative as the Israeli occupation is deterred by its capabilities.

The initiative is now in the hands of the Resistance, and the Israeli occupation is greatly deterred by the balance of power, the Chairman of Hezbollah's Executive Council Sayyed Hashem Safieddine said on Sunday.

The Resistance will work around the clock and remain vigilant to protect the homeland and the people, Sayyed Safieddine said, emphasizing that this is "a necessity".

Safieddine insisted that "we will continue to bear arms in the face of the enemy, which cannot be trusted," pointing out that what has been happening in the Gaza Strip confirms that "there can be no reliance on any force in the world for protection because we face an enemy that has no values."

In a speech delivered during a memorial ceremony in the southern suburbs of Beirut, he said, "We respond to the enemy by confirming that we will work to improve our missile capabilities."

"Security and safety are maintained with our arms, blood, and capabilities," renewing Hezbollah's stance on adhering to the principle of an eye for an eye, i.e., any targeting of civilians will be met with the targeting of civilians.

'Israel' after destruction of Lebanon

The head of the Hezbollah Executive Council believed that the Israeli occupation "will not hesitate to inflict destruction on Lebanon and seek revenge," pointing out that it is only restrained due to the deterrence equations imposed by the Resistance.

"If the enemy's goal is to intimidate us through its crimes, it must realize that these scenes make people more attached to the Resistance to deter it," he said. "No one in this world can stop the tide of Resistance in our region."

The Resistance, Sayyed Safieddine said, is the sole guarantor of the people's safety and the region's security. "We cannot rely on the so-called major powers that promote the two-state solution," talks about which are over, he added.

"The fighters in Gaza are the ones who will conclude the battle on the front, and they are the ones who will determine the future," the senior Hezbollah official said.

"Those who are creating the present and writing the future are the heroic fighters in Gaza, who are pouncing on the tanks like lions with their modest equipment," Sayyed Safeiddine said.

The Israeli occupation has a cart blanche and political coverage from the United States to do what it wishes and aggress against the people of Gaza. "The experience in Gaza proves that resistance is the most useful tool."

The Israeli occupation "is deluded and wrong if it believes that it is capable of destroying Hamas or other Resistance factions," he added.

As the Israeli occupation continues to commit crimes in Gaza, the Resistance "has been gaining strength and further recognition [...] Hamas will stay, the Resistance will grow stronger, and all the destroyed buildings and hospitals will come back better than they ever were."

Lebanon supports Gaza

This follows a fiery speech by Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, wherein he pledged support for Gaza and underlined that the Resistance would emerge victorious.

"The Israeli occupation today is still unable to demonstrate an aspect of victory or show that the Resistance fighters are broken and defeated," he said.

Furthermore, he said the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon's operations were "ongoing despite all Israeli countermeasures."

"Despite the presence of Israeli armed drones; a new weapon that was not utilized during the July war, operations are still ongoing," he stressed. Despite Israeli measures, Sayyed Nasrallah declared that there has been a quantitative increase in resistance operations. In addition, new types of weapons have been introduced, such as the use of attack drones, during the resistance operations.

The Resistance leader also unveiled that Hezbollah was using the renowned Burkan missiles against the Israeli occupation. "The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon began using 'Burkan' missiles, which weigh up to half a ton, in its operations."

"The operations of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon going deeper into the occupied territories have increased," he added. Meanwhile, Israeli media acknowledged that more than 350 Israeli wounded, including critical injuries, have been taken to hospitals.

"The Israeli occupation admitted that the level of attacks by the Resistance has risen significantly, so its level of anxiety is simultaneously on the rise," Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted. "The rise in the level of anxiety of the Israelis caused the level of threats to Lebanon to mount as well."
