'Israel' fell into a trap, suffers successive losses: Hezbollah MP
The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc Mohammad Raad says "Israel" is aware that it is no longer capable of waging a war against the Resistance in the region.
The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc in Lebanon, MP Mohammad Raad, stressed that the Palestinian Resistance fighters have foiled "Israel's" objectives for the war on Gaza.
"The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip was supposed to end within two months after crushing the Resistance, expelling the people of Gaza, destroying the entire Strip, and freeing the Israeli captives," Raad indicated on Thursday during a commemoration ceremony organized by Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese town of Kfar Tibnit, adding that these plans were thwarted at the hands of the Resistance's heroes and martyrs.
Touching on the situation in the Gaza Strip, he said that after almost seven months since the start of the war, the Israeli occupation is still confused, hesitant, and defeated, noting that "Israel" has not retrieved a single captive by force, nor has it crushed the Resistance in Gaza or taken control of the Strip despite infiltrating and destroying it.
The Lebanese MP said that under the Resistance's strikes, the Israeli occupation forces would withdraw from the Gaza Strip and would meet the same fate if they decided to invade Rafah, as they are incapable of eliminating the Resistance.
Raad said that emerging from under the rubble, Palestinian Resistance fighters are still engaging the raiding Israeli occupation forces with operations and ambushes across Gaza, killing Israeli troops and destroying military vehicles.
He believed that "Israel" has fallen into a trap and is suffering successive losses prompting it to evade its plan to stabilize its occupation in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli deterrence has collapsed
Raad accused the Israeli occupation of expanding the scope of the conflict, referencing the aggression that targeted the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus on April 1.
He indicated that Israeli deterrence has collapsed in the face of Iranian deterrence in the region, deeming this "one of the most important strategic achievements."
He said that it has become clear to the whole world that the Israeli occupation entity is only protected by foreign countries and its deterrence is contingent upon international support, stressing that the peoples of the region are capable of confronting the entity, expelling it from the occupied lands, and defeating it.
The Lebanese official highlighted that after seven months, the West is still funding "Israel" rather than pressuring it to end the aggression.
Raad described the ongoing confrontation as "historic" and that victory in it will be strategic and will leave its mark on every aspect of the region, emphasizing that some countries will collapse and regimes will fall after this war.
'Israel' has miserably failed
He said that "Israel" is aware that it is no longer capable of waging a war against the Resistance in this region and therefore carries out strikes outside the engagement areas when it feels pressured. Nonetheless, the Resistance is on the lookout, strikes back, and confronts the aggression with all bravery, Raad stressed.
According to the MP, "strategically, this war has ended," and Israeli officials are admitting its failure day after day. Raad considered the resignation of an Israeli intelligence chief amid the war a clear indication of "Israel's" defeat.
He added that when Israeli settlers demonstrate against their government's failure to retrieve held captives, this means that "Israel" has miserably failed to achieve the objectives it set for the aggression on Gaza.
Raad noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is prolonging the battle for his personal interest as he believes that the continuation of the aggression keeps him in office.
Elsewhere, Raad made it clear that the choice of resistance preserves the country and the dignity of its people and prevents the enemy from easily waging aggression for generations.
