'Israel' military campaign in southern Lebanon failing: MP Fadlallah
Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah reiterated the Resistance's heroism on the southern frontlines, decrying any attempts that seek to incite political unrest in the country.
"Up until this moment, the Israeli enemy has not been able to settle on Lebanese soil, because the Resistance prevents it from doing so," Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP, Hassan Fadlallah, stated on Wednesday.
Speaking at a press conference, Fadlallah asserted that the Israeli occupation is now announcing the second phase of its ground aggression after its first attempt at a ground invasion utterly failed to push the Resistance out of the frontlines or stop its rockets from being launched.
"Our decision, and our people's decision, is confrontation and resistance. Lebanon will never surrender to the enemy's demands," he emphasized, stressing that the Israeli occupation is seeking revenge for the humiliation its elite units suffered in 2006, particularly in Bint Jbeil and its sister southern villages.
In memory of Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, on the 40th day since his martyrdom, Fadlallah said "Our martyr achieved what he has always wanted, and rapidly followed the path of his comrade and leader, Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah."
Hezbollah's MP stressed that the resistance fighters on the frontlines are undergoing triumphant battles, noting that the day will come when the tales of what the Hezbollah leadership faced to prevent the Israeli occupation from slaughtering Lebanese will be spoken.
Regarding the Resistance and national unity, Fadlallah asserted that the Resistance was committed to internal civil peace and national cohesion, which undermines the objectives of the aggression, adding, "We do not pay attention to those who seek to exploit the situation, politically at the expense of the nation, and we will not respond to those inciting unrest."
Hezbollah is also working to accommodate the displaced and is taking charge of providing most of the necessary supplies through its pre-established formations, he announced.
Hezbollah details field developments, IOF losses in Op People of Might
On Tuesday, the Operations Room of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced that fighters continue to counter Israeli aggression on Lebanon, inflicting significant losses on the Israeli occupation forces personnel and equipment, including officers and soldiers, along the confrontation fronts from the forward positions in southern Lebanon to Israeli positions deep within occupied Palestine.
According to Hezbollah's field observations since October 1, 2024, Israeli losses include over 100 fatalities and 1,000 injuries among officers and soldiers.
Destroyed Israeli assets include 43 Merkava tanks, 8 bulldozers, 2 Hummers, 2 armored vehicles, and 2 armored troop carriers. Four Hermes 450 and two Hermes 900 drones have been downed by the Islamic Resistance, the statement confirmed.
The Islamic Resistance's Operations Room vowed that the decision by the Israeli military to move to the second phase of the "ground maneuver" in southern Lebanon would only result in further losses for Israeli forces, underscoring Hezbollah's readiness to counter any offensive.
It pointed out that Hezbollah has taken all necessary defensive measures to sustain a prolonged battle, defending Lebanon's sovereignty and dignity with sufficient personnel and equipment across all sectors.
Despite Israeli claims of control over border villages, Hezbollah has launched numerous rocket attacks into occupied territory from the Lebanese-Palestinian border and engaged Israeli forces directly behind their lines, the statement affirmed.
Elsewhere, the Operations Room emphasized the continuation of the Khaybar series of operations with high intensity, reaching military targets and forcing hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers into shelters.
