'Israel' not ready for thousands of disabilities post-rehab: Media
More and more Israeli media reports highlight "Israel's" crisis with its disabled soldiers and settlers amid the ongoing war.
The Israeli Channel KAN reported that officials in the Israeli health institution warned that "Israel" is not ready to deal with thousands of disabled settlers who need rehabilitation in Israeli society after leaving rehabilitation departments in hospitals.
On Tuesday, the Israeli website Calcalist reported that the Israeli occupation army announced that it anticipates receiving up to 20,000 disability claims submitted by soldiers as a result of injuries sustained during the Gaza war by the end of 2024.
The Israeli occupation military is suffering from the consequences of its war on the Gaza Strip, especially in terms of severe injuries incurred by its soldiers, including disabilities, amputations, deformities, and burns in various parts of the body, which impose substantial costs on the Israeli authorities.
The head of the Israeli Security Ministry's rehabilitation department informed the Knesset that more than 4,500 soldiers and personnel from Israeli security forces are currently undergoing treatment, as reported by Israeli media.
Furthermore, he noted that approximately 60 individuals, most of whom are male reserve soldiers under the age of 30, are being added to this number daily.
He also mentioned that since October 7, the number of patients entering the rehabilitation wing of the Security Ministry has doubled compared to the total number who entered in the entire year of 2022.
Israeli media reported earlier that the department's data forecasts 100,000 disabled individuals in the Israeli army by the year 2030.
However, the videos broadcast by the Palestinian Resistance and the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon prove that the actual number of casualties and injuries incurred by the Israeli occupation military is much higher than what the occupation reports.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation military has imposed censorship on media coverage of the war on Gaza and Hezbollah operations in Israeli settlements in northern occupied Palestine, which prohibits media outlets from reporting on specific issues or disseminating information about them without prior approval from the military censor. Among these issues are details about Israeli military and intelligence operations and rocket attacks hitting sensitive sites in "Israel".
