One of the several thousand Gazan workers arrested by the Israeli occupation on October 7 said that the occupation's military had detained workers and transferred them to the "Ofer" prison.

The freed worker is among many Palestinians who had acquired permits allowing them to cross through Israeli Israeli-controlled "Erez" crossing in the northern Gaza Strip. Reports confirmed that "Israel" had detained the workers on the first day of the confrontation and transferred them to secret camps.

He also confirmed that they were held captive for 25 consecutive days and that the occupation had seized all the money they had on them, and revealed that occupation forces brutally assaulted them, subjecting them to humiliating physical and verbal abuse.

Israeli Galgalatz Radio claimed that a settlement had been reached for the release of the detained workers. The workers were first transferred to the Karam Abu Salem commercial crossing.

It was also revealed that the occupation had released nearly 7,000 Palestinian workers on Friday. GLZ Radio had also said that the workers had legal permits, which points to the illegality of their detainment.
