'More than 60 bombs': Israeli media reveals details of attack on Yemen
Israeli media reveals that the Israeli PM and Security Minister authorized the Israeli attack on Yemen, which was not discussed or approved by the cabinet.
Israeli media disclosed the details of "Israel's" aggression on Yemen that took place at dawn Thursday.
The Public Broadcasting Corporation reported that the attack was authorized by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Security Minister Israel Katz, but was not discussed or approved by the Security Cabinet.
The report also mentioned that cabinet ministers were only given a general overview of the developments, without details on the specific targets of the raids.
It quoted an Israeli reserve major, one of the pilots who participated in the air strike on Yemen, as saying that the mission "was very complex."
The Israeli officer explained that "the strikes covered a distance of approximately two thousand kilometers, with over sixty bombs dropped during the night. The precision of the raids was crucial," adding that "the pilots remained in the aircraft for six hours, from takeoff to landing."
Meanwhile, the Ynet news website reported that preparations for the operation lasted two weeks.
9 killed by 'Israel' in strikes on Yemen
Earlier on Thursday, a series of intense Israeli airstrikes targeted the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and the city of Hodeidah in western Yemen, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported.
According to our correspondent, approximately six Israeli airstrikes hit the Hodeidah port and the Ras Issa oil facility in western Yemen, resulting in the killing of nine people and injuries to several others among the facility’s staff.
He further noted that Israeli strikes targeted the central Dahban power station in northern Sanaa. Later, he indicated that Civil Defense teams successfully extinguished the fire at the Dahban station, while efforts continued to put out a blaze at another facility.
In response to the Israeli aggression, the Yemeni Armed Forces' UAV Force pounded a vital target in Tel Aviv (occupied Yafa) on Thursday, as part of its fifth phase of escalation in solidarity with the people of Palestine and in response to the Israeli aggression against Yemen.
YAF spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that the operation, carried out using a drone, successfully achieved its objective and directly hit its target.
"The Yemeni Armed Forces, as previously stated, confirm their readiness for a long war with this enemy, in struggle for the sake of Allah, in support and assistance to the Mujahideen in Gaza, and in defense of beloved Yemen and will not stop until the aggression on Gaza stops and the siege on it is lifted," the statement said.
