The Government Media Office in Gaza reported that the death toll of the Kuwait Roundabout massacre has risen to over 100 martyrs, with 200 others injured.

On Thursday evening, an Israeli airstrike targeted a gathering of starved Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid packages at the Kuwait Roundabout in southern Gaza, Al Mayadeen's correspondent had reported.

The casualties were transported to four different hospitals: Al-Maamadani and Al-Shifa in Gaza City, and Al-Awda and Kamal Adwan hospitals in northern Gaza. The Ministry of Health in Gaza, meanwhile, said rescue missions to pull out martyrs and injured individuals from underneath the rubble are still ongoing despite the difficulties and dangers on the field.

The ministry then emphasized that the Kuwait roundabout massacre was further proof of the Israeli occupation's intentions to commit more horrendous crimes, and added that the number of martyrs is expected to increase as more casualties, in dire condition, arrived at the different hospitals in Gaza.

Civil defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal revealed to Al Mayadeen that IOF warplanes initially opened live fire at Palestinians waiting for aid, then the occupation's artillery shelled the roundabout, committing the massacre.

"After Palestinians fled for safety and hid in between buildings amid the IOF shoot-out, "Israel" then targeted and bombed them... The aftermath was catastrophic, and many martyrs were killed," he said.
