The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced in a statement on Saturday that thirteen Palestinian prisoners have launched an open-ended hunger strike to protest the Israeli occupation's administrative detention centers.
All thirteen Palestinian prisoners concerned are detained in the "Rimon" prison in Northern Palestine.
Seven prisoners had previously launched a hunger strike on Thursday. However, a statement issued on Saturday revealed an additional six prisoners had joined the strikers.
The six prisoners are all from the town of Qabatiya, located in the Jenin governorate, and have been detained since May.
They are Hadi Nazzal, Mohammed Zakarnah, Anas Kumeil, Abdul Rahman Barraqah, Mohammed Khmeis, and Zuhdi Ibeido.
While prisoners Saif Hamdan, Saleh Rabayaa, Qusai Khudair, and Ousama Khalil have been on hunger strike for two weeks, detainees Kayed Al-Fasfous and Sultan Khalouf have been on strike for ten days, and Osama Daqruq has been on strike for six.
