  • Trump Tells Biden 'Don't Fall Asleep' During Meeting with Putin
Trump: "Give [Putin] my warmest regards!"

Former United States President Donald Trump wished his successor Joe Biden good luck with his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, telling him, "Don't fall asleep during the meeting."

Trump said, "Good luck to Biden in dealing with President Putin—don’t fall asleep during the meeting, and please give him my warmest regards!"

During last year's presidential campaign, Donald Trump nicknamed his opponent "Sleepy Joe."

It is scheduled for US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold their first summit in Geneva on June 16 during Biden's first European after assuming the presidency in the United States.

The Kremlin said that Presidents Biden and Putin intend to discuss Russian-American relations, strategic stability, combating CVOID-19, and settling regional conflicts.

Biden told the American soldiers at Mildenhall base in eastern Britain that "We’re not seeking conflict with Russia."

Biden arrived Wednesday to Britain on his first overseas trip since he took office. The trip will take eight days, with the aim of rebuilding the transatlantic relations that have been strained during the Trump administration and revive relations with Russia.

The tour is a test of the US president's ability to manage and repair relations with key allies who have been disappointed by Trump's tariffs and his withdrawal from international treaties.
